Encouraging Brain Development

Our approach to day care is a bit different than other facilities. Everything in our facility is designed to engage
children, providing them plenty of space along with stimulation and secure interaction.
Whether learning to move their bodies or involved in interactive play with other preschoolers,
the children at our preschool are given the encouragement and support needed to grow.

Morning Class

Our morning only class is from 8:30am until 12:00pm. Most preschool classrooms are only three hours long. Our extended morning hours allow us to slow down, relax a bit, and allows each child learn at his or her own pace. This helps foster a love of learning. Lunch is included.

Happy Hands Early Learning Academy will not be offering an extended class as of August 2017.

***Notice of Pets***

PLEASE NOTE! Happy Hands Early Learning Academy is a pet friendly environment. There are both friendly dogs and cats on the premises. You may want to consider this, however if your child has known pet allergies.

For both the children's and the animal's safety, the pets are usually kept seperated from the children. ALL animals, no matter how friendly they are, can and will bite or scratch if they feel threatened. The children are taught appropriate touch with the animals, and how to "read" the animal's behaviors, such as cowering, growling, or laying their ears back.

At this time, we have three dogs-RJ is a 6 year old yellow lab and loves everyone! The kids have been known to lay on him, and honestly, he loves it. He's a big teddy bear.

Lucky is our old man of the group, and the calmest of the animals. He's a 13 year old mini-schnauzer. He's certainly the alpha and keeps the other dogs in line.

Spike is a 8 year old mini-schnauzer, and although he's the smallest of our mini-schnauzers, he likes to think he's the biggest! He will loudly announce anyone's presence in "his" house, but once he stops barking he'll want to snuggle up and give lots of kisses.

We also have one cat.

Gizmo is 11 years old, and a 17lb beast of a Maine Coon mix. He likes to demand attention by head butting whoever he can until they pet him. He comes upstairs during the day when the dogs are in their kennels.
Gizmo is front declawed, and all our animals are fixed and current on all vaccines.

Seree was our sweet 17 1/2 year old kitty. She was shy, but warmed up to the kids. She'd come out during circle time and dwant to be petted. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on November 18th, 2015.

Mr Bean was our 10yo mini-schnauzer who we lost on March 19th, 2015. He was a snuggler, and the kids all loved him. He's greatly missed.
